EPIC-M Delivery Timelines

I've got to say RED is fast, fast, fast.

My customer who is renting my Epic-M ordered his on July 1st, a day before a major holiday and got two Epic-M in less than a week shipped to ASIA.

Wow, that is fast.

I got mine in less than 10days.

RED is Cranking.

I hope they get the parts for Epic-X soon.

Thank You RED Team.

We promised after the WWII, that we would never have military. Our army is the defensive army and never go to war :).

heh yeah i remember this but I really wanna see if they could ever get that Gundam robot working :P
Love the Japanese, they really know how to handle toursits, seriously need to re-visit
Given I heard they took the robot statue down which is pretty sad as that was pretty damn insane for them to put up in the first place

Thanks Brent, so just to clarify... once you are approved, the order can at present be fulfilled virtually immediately... but the length of time between request and approval is variable and open-ended, may be days, weeks or months?

(This is pure curiosity on my part, I have no horse in this race!)

A quick question please.

Is this the full package that's ready to go (subject to approval on the purchaser) - or simply the Epic-M body - with other parts of the package shipped when ready?

As a current non Red owner, who was planning to jump on-board and grab an Epic-X (when they are available to order/pre-order/deposit etc), the M really isn't that much different (if all the presumed knowledge is correct) regarding an approx 10K difference... with all the accessories... so just weighing options here. :001_smile:

Thanks.

Its the Epic-M body with any available accessories. Back ordered accessories in the M kit are shipped as available per your place in line. I know this to be fact, as I picked up my Epic M last week. In my case, I received everything in the M kit except the Batteries and Bomb EVF.

Its very encouraging to hear that some people's M's have shipped rapidly. We ordered through Red Europe and paid a couple of weeks back, and I'm assured ours will turn up by the end of July. Of course I'm incredibly excited to be receiving the camera, I love dealing with Red at Pinewood on a service and personality front - they're great guys, but I'm always a little surprised when Red Europe don't seem to get stuff in as fast as people ordering direct from the web. Another example: I ordered my mattebox ASAP on day one through Alan, but we're still backordered.

Not a big complaint, just a gripe that will be fixed magically as soon as I have my hands on the EPIC :D

Where did they move that thing? Maybe sold to Dubai? They ware huge all season skiing structure in Chiba before, then now that is sold to mid-east country and I was freaked out with that fact :).

uuuuuummmm.... your joking right.

You sell the best Camera in the world and your doing it tough.

Mate! Stop scaring us all.

Jim seems to be sarcastic with all the facts he mentioned in the post. No need to worry, but let's keep on purchasing all of the good stuff.

Let's remember that Sony makes a lot of other stuff besides professional cameras and accessories. If RED were making clock radios, laptops, TVs and lots of other consumer electronics then I suspect it would have to be a rather sizeable operation as well.

It's a good thing RDC does one thing, and does it better than all the rest.

I've just received the magic mail! So stoked about that! Can't wait to receive it!
Thanks Jim, Jarred, Brent, Nick, Alan in the UK and everyone at Red!

Hi,
Have a look here
http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?60950-Significant-Update...

There are some significant updates and changes that I would like to share…

1. EPIC-Ms are being built at a rapid pace. There is no waiting if you want to buy an EPIC-M starting tomorrow. Supply is limited. Just remember that these are still pre-production cameras and firmware upgrades will be necessary to enable some remaining features. EPIC-Ms have a 2 year warranty.

Thanks
Harcharan
