  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Here's the latest Segway / EasiRig / RED mix

Who needs 3D with such shots? Space is jumping right at you!
 
That is awesome! How are you focus pulling though? Do you have the remote thumb control or are fix focusing? And how do you drive a segway, use the steadicam, frame and get good shots!! Great job.
 
There's no way I could do this without the RED and when Epic shows up at my door, it's gonna get nasty!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm using the hands free steering on the Segway mainly so the steering arm is out of the way. The EasyRig holds the weight of the camera and I have a wireless HD monitor that I picked up from Optitek along with a Bartech wireless follow focus that I can hand off to an AC. He can follow me in a golf cart or run if he's in good shape.....lol. I'm adding two KS-8 Gyros to the mix next week which should help out quite a bit. I laugh because this has been a bit of an obsession to get it right, and a sickness must make me keep trying. Then all you'll need is a DC slider and some cymbals between your knees. Oh, and a monkey, don't forget the monkey.
