  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Stanley Cup Playoffs Begin!

The NHL is quite happy that 3 teams are in from cali. Gotta like Anaheim -Carlyle and Selanne are former Jets.

This Boston game is going to get nastier. Chara's a beast.

Looking forward to the Wings going up 2-0 on the Jets -I mean Coyotes...the sooner they're eliminated the sooner we can order season tickets here!

fram auto parts ads running on the playoff broadcast were shot on RED One #0031!!! in Teledo Ohio.

and they play it over and over again...

never thought it would be airing during the SC playoffs...i am stoked!

Who's taking bets on Detroix-Phoenix that this is the last game in the desert?

Sounds like the $2 Billion tv deal the NHL just struck has an impact...Phoenix is a huge TV market, but not a big hockey one. So the wait continues...

...and James Neal breathes a huge fucking sigh of relief.

Can't believe the Rangers choked that one away. I want Washington OUT!

Rangers are done I think. But Washington won't get past the 2nd round -they're mistake prone, and Mike Green is one of their biggest offenders.

And thankfully my Wings put the Coyotes out of their misery. I wonder how many players have their homes up for sale?

So what are the predictions? Will Boston win game 7?

Crazy finish with Vancouver and Chicago...so Red Wings vs. Sharks -going to be a helluva series.

I had Chicago in my pool.. oh well they gave it a good shot. As a Leaf fan its hard to cheer for the Habs but I love the under dog.. Lots of good hockey to watch tonight.

Toews (Winnipeg boy) scored an unbelievable goal...and i called it right before he did it.

Don't know if Vancouver is going to have anything left for 2nd round. They are balanced but that was an intense series.

And we choked the series away. The power play unit is going to get a serious overhaul in the offseason. 1 for 35 is an absolute joke.

At least Crosby will be concussion free for the new season, and hopefully they drop Kovalev like the dead weight he is.

Solid, competitive hockey for round 2. Anyone who makes it to the final four is deserving of raising the cup.

Our injury situation was horrible. Our offensive output dropped significantly with the losses of Malkin and Crosby. Letang was having a monster year for a defenseman in the first half. He only had a few more points in the second half because the power play nosedived without those two. The players that Shero brought in aren't bad per se, but they didn't mesh well a la Ponikarovsky. However, I don't think Neal is in the same category because his effort was there every night and he does lots of things well by taking advantage of his size. His numbers were just poor because he was brought in to play with Crosby. Anyway, before a rant any further, I'll conclude by stating that I didn't expect the Penguins to win the cup this year, let alone the East. I did, however, expect them to win the series against the Lightning (I predicted 6 games), especially after going up 3-1.

This is what happens when a team runs into a hot goaltender and solid D.

Did you see the interview with Roloson after? He looked like a roadie for the Grateful Dead!

great games last night, great fucken games.

kings gave it a good college try without kopie, they'll be back next year as long as dean doesnt give too many guys away.

bruins battled, it's going to be a fun spring for the next 6 weeks. let's hope for lots of game 7 ot's.

Wow, what a sigh of relief to see the Wings pull it off in San Jose.

Turning point had to be Franzen leaving the game -which was great 'cuz he hasn't been doing jack. Hopefully this means Babcock will activate Modano for Game 6.

Datsyuk has to be the best playmaker in the league right now.

Guess I'm talking to myself...Wings win at home and force game 7. Stepping up. No quit in these guys, and good to see Mondano back in lineup, even if he didn't really play in the 3rd.

Hopefully there aren't anymore injuries in the SJ/Det series, whoever wins need to make sure they knock out the canucks asap. Game 6 was a pretty good.

Luongo is highly suspect, and if the Sedins don't get gonig they will be done.

Tampa and Boston...either Thomas steals the series, or Roloson. Great story.

I can't believe Detroit is hanging in there. San Jose has choked away the better half of this decade.

I'm a huge Wings fan. I got scared last night was going to be one of those games where they outshoot their opponent by 20 and lose 2-1. Phew! Niemi makes so many great saves but is a rebound machine. Win or lose game 7, this has been a fantastic series.
