***SOLD*** Thanks for everyones interest!

For sale is a set of first generation Zeiss Super Speeds for 35mm.
Included is the 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm.
They all have focus gears installed. Arriflex Bayonet to PL adapters included.
They are Mark I's or B-Speeds with triangular apertures.

Conditions:
85mm T1.4: Perfect mechanically and perfect glass except for one minor mark on the front element (not noticable).
50mm T1.4: Perfect mechanically. Many VERY light coating scratches on the front glass. Some minor coating marks on the rear.
35mm T1.4: Perfect mechanically. Many light coating scratches on the front glass. Many light coating marks on the rear.
25mm T1.4: Perfect mechanically. Slightly stiff focus ring. Coating on rear element has lots of wear. Front element only has a couple marks.

All of the scratches on the glass are only in the coating, and do not penetrate the glass.
All of the lenses were tested with a lens collimator, and the 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm all created a near perfect image. The only lens that created a bit of reduced contrast was the 25mm.

If you prefer to have the coating marks of the 25mm fixed, I've been quoted $225 to recoat the rear element.

Test footage from these lenses: http://vimeo.com/23660419

For the set, I'm looking to get 9,000 USD. I am open to reasonable offers.
Send me an email if you are interested in a single lens.

This is a chance to get some great glass for a very low price.
These lenses were used on the film Taxi Driver.

Paypal payment. Shipped from SF, USA.

Email me at habitat444@hotmail.com if interested.

They are great lenses. Thanks Ernesto.
Price lowered to sell fast! $9,000 now.

The coating scratches will only lower contrast a bit, but if you have a problem with them, I've been quoted $225 to recoat each lens with coating marks.
Still available!

I shot 4.5k today at 2:1 with my MK III super speeds! I love my super speeds!!!!!

As far as i can remember the main difference between mk1 and mk3 were the shape of the iris blades. These lenses were designed for Super 35 not full frame so as far as i am led to believe 5k is still Super 35mm but with more pixels

I'm F&^Ked then! I bought a set of Compact Primes for my steadicam, and they are full frame, great for steadicam but not as nice as the super speeds. T2.1 to T1.3 is a difference and also super speeds have a great coating on them.

If this set have a few marks then I would leave them, NEVER re coat lenses as they will never look the same again. I know and have learned my lesson on some Lomo stuff

Not true. The optics are slightly different also. i know for a fact the 50mm rear element is smaller than the MK3 equivalent. There is also the barrel size is bigger on the MK2 and 3.

Updated some info on the lenses and I recorded some test footage with the lenses on a Red One: http://vimeo.com/23660419
The 25mm is the only one that shows a bit of reduced contrast, but it is far from unusable. It would cost $225 to recoat the rear element of the 25mm if prefered.
The 35mm; 50mm; and 85mm have been tested with a lens collimator and created a near perfect image.
PM/email in interested.
