Hello everyone,

I wanted to share some footage from a short film I am Directing and Shooting for Summer Rayne Oakes. Its a project Summer pitched to me a few years ago
and she recently called me up with a green light, I will invite her to join us and explain more about the project. In the meantime I have been following Ketch Rossi and his development with Michael Hasting at AquaVideo on the EPIC underwater housing and really I just lucked out. Ketch and Mike expedited the construction of the housing in Florida and delivered the famous EPIC-M #008 to New York City just in time for the shoot and I can not express how grateful I am for their efforts, Steve Gibby included. A lot of stars were aligned to make this shoot possible, thank you guys. :cheers2:

This is the 1st of many EPIC underwater shoots I have planned to shoot as soon as I take delivery of my EPIC. I should add that the results exceeded my wildest expectations and I will repeat, The EPIC is unbelievable dream come true and well worth the wait. Hang in there folks, your in for a ride. :coolgleamA:

I had to cut this quick last night for Summer who is presenting it today so I did a very quick grade in REDCINE 416ER. I compressed down to 1920x1080 H264 so unless there is a better route, this will do for now.

Enjoy this teaser footage of the 1st EPIC underwater 5k footage shot at 120 fps on EPIC-M 008.

Fantastic Clay ... only one word can explain what I'm feeling .......

MORE.

It's amazing the housing worked so flawlessly out of the gate, on such short notice.

Can't wait to see more from this shoot. Please keep us posted.

Thanks again,

Anthony

Nice

Hello everyone. There is such vision behind this shoot and look forward to filming/editing the rest of it for you to see. It's been a dream collaborating with Clay again on this... The abstract art film is based on a speech that I give detailing the most pressing environmental issues and positioning them on my lifeline - from birth to death...to showcase that these changes are not happening 200, 500 or a thousand years from now, but are happening within one lifespan. You'll see how it all comes together soon . . . and of course, have had a little help visualizing it with the EPIC..

Ketch was in DC on Monday and explained that this was shot at 5K at 120fps. He said that there were no overheating issues at all, even though the camera was left in the housing and running while the model went up to grab air. Would love to see more footage. Thanks

Thanks Summer for taking the time to post here. I read through your website when Clay first posted about the shoot and I was very impressed with your perspective and vision.
I'm not sure exactly how the film fits into that (since I know so little about the film) but I'm sure the collaboration between you guys will only result in something remarkable.

Keep spreading the light :)

wow thats amazing

Loved the definition and the light effect on the closer shots as she was near the surface. Some of the later wides her skin tone looked rather pallid. A beautiful piece though. Reminiscent of the underwater aspects of Ashes and Snow.

Thanks for sharing.

EDIT: I note in your original post you did a quick pass grade in RCX.
