  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

First Epic shoot...

I'm not sure how to articulate it, but the Epic seems to make better use out of the MX sensor.

Ted explained that because the guts behind the sensor are so much more advanced than the R1, it does in fact make better use of the sensor and therefore cleaner and more spectacular images.

Just shot some additional material for this first Epic music video on Thursday... The video is for Keyshia Cole and as alluded to in previous posts, the production experienced several artist-related setbacks during the main shoot. To make up for this, they ordered an added white-cyc dance shoot to supplement more of the video, even though surprisingly they were able to cut a whole video out of the half-day's worth of actual shooting time we had with Keyshia...

I saw the uncolored offline edit of the Epic footage and it looked stunning. The new white cyc material was shot on a R1 MX at 4.5K and should cut perfectly with the 5K 2.40:1 Epic material.

I'm anxious to post a link once the video is released. And though not a phenominal video, the Epic material stands out.

After this first shoot and seeing just what the camera is about, I'm now putting my money where my mouth is and ordering an Epic.
