Judging by all those Quadro 4000's... seems like you are getting the Cubix? Would love to know more about the performance.

I'm not going to speculate, because I already know:smile5: Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to hear what transpires in this mad science lab:bigear:

Heck with so many Quadro 4000's it must involve some type of PCIe box.

WOWOW JEFF

$2037.72 worth of Quadro cards. Hehehe... $679.24 each after the $714.99 price less 5% Valentine's Day coupon from sharbor.com

Looks like you're in for some GPU fun there Jeff!

Yep. ;)

...Still waiting on some other parts. Hoping they'll be here tomorrow so I can do the build this weekend.

I'm assuming he's making a Hackintosh. At first I'd been thinking the only way to add the GPUs he was going to add without an expander was by somehow connecting two computers together... Forgot you could do it with a Hackintosh though. Or maybe something else I dunno.

Man it's so depressing, the Quadro 4000's are same dollar to pound ove here in the UK. £731.00 each, thats like $3500 just for the cards :emote_hanged:

System is up and running... Preliminary testing is underway.

There is a hack of involved here and I can't say anything just yet, but it's not a hackintosh in the typical sense. The system is built from a new Mac tower. 12-core 2.93GHz, 24GB RAM. Currently have the primary GPU as a Quadro 4000 and one additional 4000 for processing in Resolve. I have not placed the other Quadro card yet. I'm still fine-tuning some things.
