Grateful...

Thanks Jim & Crew for a Fantastic Ride!

Thanks Jim & Crew for a Fantastic Ride!

Thanks Jim & Crew, very interesting to follow the development of Epic and Scarlet from a few years ago. I am looking forward to owning my Scarlet fixed, THIS IS A DREAM CAMERA for us indies, enthusiasts, I'm glad I've waited. Thanks for:001_cool: allowing us to share this ride with you and for being so open with this community. I feel special when I see films shot on Red. Scarlet is so much more of what we are all wanting at a price point which makes it feasible. Thank You!, can't wait to place a deposit!

I love this place...

:)

Thank you Red Team and Jim ... I'll be a Scarlet owner as soon as am able, and feel like the excitement is rubbing off on me and my future projects. It's infectious. Just can't wait to be part of the Redvolution.

Thanks to you Jim and the RED team! And just as much thanks to all the users here how've educated a beginner in some of the more technical aspects that I'd yet to learn. It's gonna be a fun year!

When someone asks me what makes RED camera's better than those from the likes of Sony, I know I've got no chance of communicating in words, the company that is RED, let alone the products they create (I feel sorry for Ted who's job it is to do just that). But that's simply the nature of a quality-orientated company. Quality is a hard "feature" to market, hence why most companies these days produce such poor products (talking about all consumer goods here, from toasters to houses). Any company with the intent and enthusiasm as RED, is just such a breath of fresh air to anyone who appreciates products which have been made not for the sake of making a dollar, but for the sake of making the product the best they can. It's terribly sad that such companies have become so rare. RED, in an ideal world, shouldn't be a special company. It's only when they're put in contrast to other companies, do they become so special.

Hats off to RED and especially Jim for creating a business for all the right reasons. Here's hoping that Jim, and the company, never change.

I remember, years ago, sitting leafing through digital cinema magazines, gnashing my teeth and wondering what the hell was up with the status quo of 1/3 sensors.
And I was also worried that elitist attitudes would prevail.

Then one day I saw a very faint light in the distance, it grew brighter, and brighter... it was the tip of Jim's cigar ( :

Thank you for doing what Sony, Arri, etc., could never do - create a whole new universe of creative possibilities that flow from your inspired hardware. Keep the good stuff coming!

Best,

Mike

Thanks Jim! And I am grateful that you have desired our feedback and made this such a damn fun journey. Upward we go!

I love this place...

:)

Yah, Jeff this would be a good time to thank you too. I've learned so much from your detailed Mac/technology posts it's ridiculous. Whatever your parents fed you to make you such a natural at absorbing all that, I want some of that :-P

I practically camp out on this site! And I've started a second career with Red.

Very happy to be part of this community   Thanks Jim!:thumbsup:

I don't often say it... but we are so grateful for everyone's participation here on Reduser. Our program is better for it. Plus, it is way more fun to have a community that we can interact with on a daily basis to keep us pointed in the right direction.

We have learned a lot from all of you. Our program has evolved because of you. Your suggestions have influenced what we do.

This is an extremely difficult program. We appreciate everyone's patience. We are late because we had no idea what we were doing and how difficult all this actually would be. Trust me when I tell you that we have built a small army to solve all the problems in an effort to deliver a camera that exceeded anyone's expectations. We want to make you happy.

We are not Sony, Arri, Panasonic or Canon. We are a small group of people dedicated to delivering what the others could not. No easy task. Everyone here is working on fumes. The amount of effort is hard to measure. All of it is an effort to make a big difference.

Without a customer base... none of this is possible. This is the moment where we thank you all for your support.

Jim
I am new and this is my first message, but it is a long long time that I am following what RED is doing from Switzerland, I am 62 and Italian is my mother language. I am an amateur in the digital video filming arena, and planing to be a future SCARLET user, and as a silent reader I take this opportunity to thank you Jim and your impressive team for the respect you have shown to all of us who are longing for a real breakthrough in this digital breathtaking field of videography.
You have created a new dimension of interaction between us and a frontline science where you seem to invent by the day new solutions, new technologies, new options, new features, new terminologies etc. leaving me wondering what would be possible on this planet if only our school systems in general would adopt a kind of work and a reciprocal respect only close to this so natural and beautifully simple model you are living with us.

My most profound respect for what you do and for how you do it, but most of all I love the fun and the friendship that transpires in all the threads of the Forum.

Again thanks Jim and best wishes from nearly 7000 miles away.
