The fun fact is that while I'm a cinema student to become movie editor, I might be in the position to choose which camera will be used to shoot a TV Series later this year. The goal is to have the better quality for the less price. I will be the... I don't know how to call it but I would be the "digital camera manager" or something on the shoot.
So first of I was thinking that because the previous seasons were shot on F900 which is 2/3" and because it's only intended for TV and am not sure we will have enough computer ressources for RAW editing, I was going for SRW9000 or stay with the F900. Then I was thinking maybe the director will like the option of having a larger sensor for creatuve purposes and then I was going with the F3 with an external recorder.
But finally, now, seeing those dates, I think I'll push the production to rent either an Epic of any kind or a Scarlet (if the director want's to stay with easier deep focus) and try to get a Red Rocket and enought storage for the footage.
I mean... What the f**k, let's go RAW !
Anyway, 2011 will surely be a nice year for us camera geek and cinematographers !:emote_hippie:
