The 007 Thread

No Epics were harmed during the making of this motion picture.

Thanks for the pics Steve!

That cam really looks small on the back of an MP.

Will be fun to see it with an RPP 18...

Trust me - you are going to love the custom stuff we are having made for this camera. I will show you the RPP 18 on an amazing cinestyle config in about a week. I SWEAR you will be impressed Gunleik. I'm crazy excited about the AKS we are having made.

I'm not too hard to impress with this stuff...

Looking foreward to see both configs and images!

Ouch...

David. This thread is back on topic.
Scandalous!

Well ... it's funny how the "bar raises". I've been looking at lots of EPIC footage - and I'm like ... that's it. Done. Game over and then some. WHY would you shoot on anything else? Sure ... camera availability ... I get it ... but there will be a plenty of EPICs available sooner than 99.99% of the population thinks. I have heard what the Alexa sales guys are saying ... and they are wrong.

I remember when I had to try to convince people to shoot with a RED camera. Those days are over. WAY over.

Interested in EPIC ..? Don't listen to me ... let me just screen some footage for you.

Mark, any chance you can talk Element Technica out of the 3D woods long enough to make some "normal" accs for Epic? :-)

ET is doing amazing things right now in the 3D space.

Can you blame them for being more inspired to make the best 3D rigs in the business VS. another "bracket"?

There will be several folks that will step up to make EPIC aks. Don't worry.

I might be drinking my own kool aid - but I think you just might want what we are making.

PS ... don't sell your Red Bricks, or your ET EVF bracket just yet ...

Woohoo! Looks like my kind of camera test. :)

Love the ET EVF mount, but still think a more compact solution would be welcome for EPIC and the BOMB.

Seems to me that RED Bricks are going to be an ideal power solution due to run times. Go with the new RED batteries when you need to save some bulk.

are we talking about a custom made redcraddle with integrated aux ports and hot swap-ability and the place where the drive wents in can now be occupied with usual cinestyle aks?

Ditto. How about a solution that works with what you have already - swap a few parts and get more compact if you want?

Yeah ... issues in cinestyle is that we need to power a bunch of stuff.

Gimme a week on this - I will see first proto on Monday - I imagine we need a week for revisions. Harry Clark knows who I am working with - he'll tell you I'm in good hands, right Harry?
