Is there something planned? I think one of the main goals of a software like this should be a fast and correct export for AVID editing solutions including Red Rocket support.

Keep us informed please and best for 2011

Hi Alex, I can certainly log a request for this. Which particular Avid Codecs are you after?

thanks,
Dan

DNX 185X is the main one and also AVID 1:1

I think for offline editorial 185x is bit too much and it is the 25fps codec.
So DNxHD 36, 115, 120, 175x and 185x would be great....

Im in Australia so I need 25Fps!

I cant see it being too difficult for someone to put all the Avid codecs in

Guys,

If you have installed MediaComposer (even the 30 day eval) on your Mac you can Export QuickTime wrapped DNxHD from Storm because the appropriate QuickTime codecs are placed in /Library/Quicktime.

If that's the case, then you can download the Avid codecs for free here: http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=350875

It's free, and you don't have to own an Avid to download. You'll get all the resolutions and bitrates, if I remember right.
(But it would still be lovely to have storm able to export an MXF package, so we could watch QT in the rear-view mirror.)

That's correct.
As long as you have the Avid codecs installed on your machine you can indeed export QTs with any Avid DNXHD codec. Although you can not currently export directly to MXF.
