Epic at $58,000 - Did we know this?

[Ben Roper]

Something interesting came from my browser!....

http://www.red.com/store/epic/product/epic-M

Shows the Epic-M page with price shown as $58,000. Just wondering... Did we already know this or is it still speculation?

Sorry if i'm late to the party!

[Martin Weiss]

Jepp, late to the party. Epic-M are handmade, machined versions, before the line-produced Epics at 28.000 early next year.

[Eirik Tyrihjel]

Still cheaper than the Alexa... and that says a lot!

(like Martin said, the retail price for the line-produced version is still 28$K - a steal)

[Ben Roper]

Awww well! ) Still it's interesting to see the store-page on the way up!

Remember that the Epic at $58K will include 4x 128GB SSDs, a 5" LCD, a Bomb EVF, a Side SSD Module, a Side Handle, a REDmote, 4x REDvolt batteries, a REDvolt charger and the Titanium mount [all machined versions] where the $28K Epic will only include the body with an aluminum mount [and a REDmote?].

The "machined" premium works out to about $12-14,000... worth every penny.

Ultimately if one hasn't heard about the M program by now, they are likely not going to be a part of it.

Yeah, the price of entry has nuthin' to do with dollars :hat:

Yeah, the price of entry has nuthin' to do with dollars :hat:

You forgot to mention that it comes with red color screws worth all the money
