called EPIC Light. The features have changed as has the price. I'll update in the next two weeks.

Jim

Oh no! I hope that is a good thing, because personally I always wished the Scarlet could be a lower resolution Epic, but with the same exact features.
Happy Thanksgiving to all at Red and all Redusers.

Wow you just keep the hits coming tonight Jim (well morning here in the UK)

I guess by the time EPIC stage 4 comes out, I might have enough for a EPIC Light as a B camera!

Keep them coming and i am sure we will all reward you with our hard earned £$£$£$£$

Steve

I am glad I have not taken my Xanax yet:) Something seems to be happening every 30 minutes!
Someone earlier mentioned only needing 1 kidney... eBay a good place to list them ? :) I am thinking on of the Epic-HM would be an interesting business option:)

probably makes more sense in the naming scheme of things and for people to more easily register basic product features. Scarlet is the 16mm / 2/3" line, and EPIC is the S35 line...

Epic Light, doesn't sound all that Epic. But if its like beer, and has the same great taste with less alcohol in it, well than that might do alright.

Oh boy, I can already hear the internets scream, heheh... Good stuff RED, looking forward hearing all about it.

RED simply has the best naming system. No seeming random combination of letters and numbers like every other camera company on the planet, just "REDONE", "Epic", and "Scarlet".

Any changes to 2/3"?

Ok, I'll bite....

Price going up? Or price going down?

(I think I already know the answer :( )

So which will come first "Epic Light" or "Scarlet 2/3"?

I planned on staying up tonight browsing REDUSER while shooting some timelapse photography, but I thought I was going to spend it reading the Cinematography forum. Looks like it's going to be a long night :)

So the burning question remains: will the new changes to EPIC Light delay delivery across the line? Is Scarlet still in the program?

Cheers,

Fabián

So I guess there never really was much of a difference between 'Scarlet S35' and Epic S35 despite what Red told us. I hope it doesn't move up to much more than 8K for the brain. But will it need a Scarlet module adapter or a Epic module adapter, since I guess the dimension of the brain hasn't changed...
