hell yes, this is HUGE really versus the R1 with M-X. Seems like it takes almost 2 minutes lately. Wow, cant wait!

Actually... in my case, the MX upgrade made the Red One go from the former 1m 22s down to 1m18s... ok, yes, almost irrelevant...

you'd be starting the camera way earlier that just before a take. Don't you have to check the focus, frame it, check the blocking and staging for actors before you roll the cam for a take?

12 seconds for a film camera is way too impressive for 5k motion picture camera.
