  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ok, this was actually funny. You forgot the Rick Roll to top it off though. Chances are they'll pull this thread, but thanks for the laugh.
 
Thanks! I was just really bored...

I just got sick of seeing all the "hey is it done yet?" "when's it coming out" "I WANT ONE NOW!!!" threads popping up. Like geeze people, it's done when it's done, you'll know when it's done... there'll probably be a bit of a stir in the forums when it is...
 
It'll be released when it's ready. And it'll be better than you expect. In the meantime, rent a Red One to make some money or films with and keep working. Whining, complaining, demanding and the like don't speed up the process, and I'm sure if it was all ready, it would have been released.
 
at least build-your-own-pc parts are getting a lot cheaper as the months pass us by!

That's what I keep thinking as I check my "REDiting Station" in my newegg wishlist, but then I go and find something newer/faster to replace an "outdated" (aka two weeks old) part, and my build hovers around the same price.

I reeeally hope this is not an official announcement. But you are a mod so it IS!!

Red, if Scarlet can only shoot the red and blue type of 3D, then this announcement just shattered everything that was good about Scarlet for me!

That's it. You just lost me. I am taking that money elsewhere!


Especially now that on an other forum it was just officially announced, by a guy called beandogg720, that he is working on a secret DLSR line-skipping fix.

He said he's got this super high tech rig where he can put TWO (2!) cameras on it and shoot the same thing at the same time! And he's said he is that if you off-set them just a little, then you'll get ALL the lines!!!! And that you'll also be getting 2160p!! (1080 x 2, but with all the lines!!!!!!!)

You can correct me if I am wrong, cause I am totally reasonable, but I think that is both game-changing AND future-proofing!!

I am sure it will also cost less, be easier to shoot, easier and faster to edit, and will totally work like beandogg720i said it would.

That camera/cameras are gonna make me so talented!!!
 
Sorry, Roberto. Gotta disappoint ya — us mods are not official. If we were, I'm sure I'd gotten myself fired for leaking such sensitive information as in the link provided.

Better check it out before Jarred or Jason wake up and delete it.
