Not September.
This is the second time most of them have been naive... the first time was when they bought a SCAMera called the Red One. Some were "Realists" who didn't believe. Now those doubters will have to wait until those of us who were naive get our cameras. Sorry for your loss.Look at this! How many naive people in one place! Aug + Sept+Oct+Nov+Dec = 75%!![]()

Alexy, the first buyers were not buying a real camera. They put down a $500 deposit on Jim's word alone. The working prototypes had not even been built at that time. I was looking at a Panasonic P2 system at the time and read on DVXuser about this new camera that was going to be built. Like you, I didn't have the money to buy one of the cameras at the time and after some internal discussion, decided that all I could lose was $500 if I couldn't raise the rest of the $17,500 in time. Then I decided to double down and put down another $500 for a second camera. So many of us did take a leap of faith.Your words are just trying to trick the reality! It is ill practice! Who bought the RED ONE bought the most cool camera in the world! And real camera! And these people were not naive because even full layman know that what he see is the coolest picture after celluloid! These people were very pragmatic!
I just don't share your pessimism, but I understand how your frustration could lead to that. I've seen RED deliver time after time, and I've seen them deliver, usually, something much better than they promised. This sometimes "free upgrade" is unprecedented in general business practices. And only about 8000 people have bought RED ONE! Not All of us! I knew what it is The RED ONE from my first view on it's picture and every man in the industry knew it! But I couldn't buy it because of high prices! So don't tell me that everybody bought the camera who knew what was this camera 3 years ago! And I have been waiting for The more cheap Scarlet for 1 year for 2008 then one more year for 2009, then for 2010 And now I see i will not see Scarlet for one more year or two Who knows! I hold my 15K for Scarlet for 3 years and I understand I can wait else 1 or 2 years again! So don't tell me that everythings is ok! Everything is not Ok! it is ok for you because you have RED ONE you can wait easly 1-3 years! And All my projects are slowly dieing! So I have the reasons to scream!
Maybe if we all think positive thoughts we can will this camera's release. And any reasons for delays are not working because promise is promise and delay is death in any case! So don't fool me by yoir tricks! Most of people in voiting are fully in illusions! It is fact! 75% were sure they will see Epic in the end of 2010! This illusion was crushed! And you are just extricating oneself from a difficult situation! Only now I understand that it was mistake to wait Scarlet and I had to but RED ONE 1-2 years ago and I want to do it now! But agait the RED ONE has became 7500 more expensive! So now I just trying to buy used RED ONE with M-sensor for about 20K! So don't tell me that al these 75% were right and I was not when I have chosen Epic's date end of 2011! Let's see who can bee pragmatic in a short time!
