I have a wicked design for a 4' slider and would like to put out a feeler to see how much you guys would pay for a slider that is:

1) Baby's Ass smooth
2) Deadly Silent
3) Will not BIND
3) Can easily be carried by 1 person
4) Reasonably priced
5) Modular (just like RED), with the ability to add and reposition everything

Also, if you guys could name the competition, that would be great because I can't keep up with all the little companies popping up selling cinema gear.

Also, if you guys have any suggestions as to what you would like to see in a slider, name it.

Sounds sweet if you could make it expandable so that you can put several 4' sections together. Not sure what you should price it at.

Thanks Jonathan. That's a great suggestion. I hadn't even thought of it. But would you believe me if I told you that the modular nature of this design would have already been capable of doing just that?

Just make it quiet, light and reasonably priced and you'll already be pretty close.

Kessler CineSlider looks like the best to me so far. It seems a good balance of price + weight + motion control + quietness. Cinevate Atlas looks very nice too but seems too noisy for me.

As far as other requests go...

and
http://www.theslider.com/unique.html
- easy over / under
- adjustable resistance / brake
- mounting options
- easy rotation
- smooth stops

Fact is: we don't NEED everything though. Just give us something lightweight that we can buy - we'll rent a Silent Cat or Original Slider or whatever if it's a big job.
