Just don't let him divide by zero.... if that happens, god help us all.

If it can be added as an optional Module, then by all means, options are fantastic. Forgive me if I have missed some stated decision, discussions move fast around here.
Thank for considering.
Can't do it in a module.

Here's one answer for you...
Thanks Terry, sorry I missed that. Thats a real shame. Considering the polling percentages I suspect I get to wait longer and pay more. Alas. That extra 1K may not hurt the professionals but for the folks who are looking to own and use it for private use only, it does sting.
I can imagine the scarlet line being refreshed after all the known models have come out. 4-5 years of constant production,
field use and innovation add up to a smaller, cheaper more powerful product...
...Will a refreshed model have it in 5 years time? Probably.
What the poll tells RED is that it is up to them to decide to HDR is Scarlet or not. It's a small majority that favors YES, but it's still almost evenly split. Had the poll swayed heavily one way or the other, then RED would have a clear cut answer from their potential
customers.
I recently shot in an ancient church and i am telling you now I would have killed for HDR. Because I was not allowed to take anything electrical and was not allowed high powered light of any kind I had to deal with what was available. With HDR I would have been able to control the light flooding through the massive windows and still kept the beautiful shadows - even the wood was dark enough to cause a slight irritation. That is a perfect example of why it is such a gift.
There is simply no other camera on the market in 2010 that can match most of what the Scarlet can do in that price range.
Scarlet, in all likelihood, also won't be on the market in 2010.
