EPIC to work Chicago

[Jay A. Kelley]

"Contagion" is setting up shop in Chicago. Will be there for two months.

Any RED fanboys in the area need to break out their 300mm lenses, and go hunt these people down on set when they get here.. No doubt you will get lots of juicy WORKING Epic photos.

So here's a shout out to the Chicago Locals!!

Sound off people!

Chi-Town!!!!!!!

Jim just stated in the Contagion thread that Soderbergh is currently shooting R1-MX and not Epic, because some of the necessary features had not been enabled on Epic yet.

And they will be shooting Epic soon.

Yup. Didn't mean to add to any FUD. Here's the quote from the man himself.

Contagion will use EPICs when they get back. It was just too soon to get a couple of things done SS needed so we asked him to begin with R1 MX. No big deal except here on the forum.

Jarred and I are so busy working on all the cool stuff here that we don't have the time to catch up on everything. This place shouldn't go crazy when we are gone...

Hey... that SS guy uses the same camera I do! Cool!

[Jay A. Kelley]

Contagion is out of the country right now. Jim says they will be on EPIC when they return.

I think Chicago counts.

[Steven-Marc C.]

Well then it would certainly be a pleasure to see some BTS pics of Epic posted here!

I'll keep an eye out. Lot of movies here during the summer, Transformers, The Dilemma etc. Maybe I could get a job...

[Albert C Martin]

Any info on exactly when they make their way to Chicago? Its a shame, I used to be within a short drive of downtown ... not so much now

[Andy Jarosz]

I'm with you. I'm 15 minutes away and I'd work for free on these jobs...I just don't know who to call!

The Chicago Film Office lists it as filming in the city from Oct 19 thru Dec 17.
