Ok, so I was thinking about #21....in another thread I suggested that it could be in-camera editing, a pretty handy feature. This could be metadata based, maybe even a non-destructive method.
But then I got to thinking about just how powerful the camera is and what the camera can do regarding data after it's recorded. This made me think about the RED ROCKET, which is essentially RED's processing engine in a PC card form. The same type of engine is built into the camera and needed to record/encode/decode the data within the camera. After shooting you've got a hefty piece of processing hardware just sitting around, why not use it?
If there was a way to 'teather' the camera to a computer and use the processing engine in the camera while editing on a computer it would be AMAZING. You connect the camera via a very high speed interface, maybe fiber will be necessary, and use the processing engine in the camera to render and output to a monitor using the camera's built-in ports, HDMI, HDSDI, etc....
Now this would be awesome!
