Is it me or does R_user feel like a bit of a yawn lately?

With Jarred and Jim out of the house, not much to talk about.

This NDA Tattoo thing is a clear departure from hype.

yes?

I like to think that they are busy getting a camera ready to ship. Im sure the next update will be long and very interesting, seeing as how that will be the results from the early tattoo sessions.

Yeah. Kind of feels like a lot of small talk while waiting for the main presentation to begin... :yesnod:

I'm really anxious to hear about final pricing and accessory lineup for the Epic. Hanging on pins and needles to be more specific. But agreed, since NAB, the forum has been put on leash about any Epic and Scarlet news.

The M-X upgrades are making steady progress, half dozen 17-50mm lens have shipped, the M-X sensor being used for high profile projects.

I've decided to reset my RED calendar to the Fall of the year for any substantial purchasing news. Our shop has some small projects to shoot and edit more stuff with our other inferior cameras. Our M-X upgrade is a ways off yet still.

Our shop is getting the Media Composer 5, and a set of Zeiss Compact Primes 2 are on the way. So that is our low hanging fruit at the moment.

First rule of Tattoo - don't talk about Tattoo.

I must have read somewhere, right Mark?

It isn't just Jim and Jarred. All of Red is quiet on the boards. Tattoo must be some intense work.

Mark also said it was The calm before the Epic storm. This place will be on fire come the Fall.

I have a friend, that I'm sure is in the Tattoo program, and he has fallen off the map. No emails no nothing.

I asked Ted about him at Cine Gear this last weekend and Ted's lips tightened up like a frogs ass.

So ..... I will assume ( yes I know what it means) that the quiet is the "calm before the Epic storm"
