Curious as to why there has not been much mention of this here. The major Hollywood feature production, "Macgruber" was released today across North America. It is an action-comedy based on a Saturday Night Live sketch. And it was shot on RED.

I think this is going to be the best SNL movie since Wayne's World. I'm so excited for it, which is strange because I was never a fan of the sketch on the show. But it seems like it's going to be awesome. And it LOOKS awesome too! So glad it's a Red movie.

Comedy never gets the same respect. You know ... it's not "cinema" ... it's "comedy".

I hear (not sure if it's true) that FURRY VENGENCE was shot all on RED as well.

Yup, Furry Vengence shot on RED as well.

MacGruber is hilarious. It also looks great. You should all go see it. It is a little raunchy, so if that's not your thing, then maybe see Shrek instead. If you see Shrek in 3D, there is a trailer for an animated movie about wolves called "Alpha and Omega." My voice makes a small cameo in that trailer.

the DP Brandon Trost is a buddy of mine and also shot a music video my brother and I just directed/edited/produced for a band from Toronto called Danko Jones.

Make sure to watch the 720p.

We were all at RED last tuesday and needless to say Brandon is a huge fan of RED and will be shooting many projects on REDOne's and EPIC.

I dunno. Just wish Phil Hartman had lived to make a feature length "Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer." That would have ben sublime.

Oh man... I miss Phil Hartman so much... he was amazing. Had a killer wife though.

Hey Sean... love your profile pic... that's exactly how I am at a bar... pint of Guinness and my back to the crowd.

I think it's wonderful that RED cameras are so good and so easy to use that they go unmentioned in production now. When I'm shooting, all the eyes are on the preview monitor.

Just saw this yesterday. Overall, I loved it. There were some pacing issues and very LAME jokes, just stupid stuff. But the jokes that were good had me in tears in the aisle. I loved it. And it LOOKED AMAZING!!!
