Hi guys and gals,

I have put together a preliminary survey to see how many people would be interested in a group-buy of the V-Bag discussed in this thread: http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=44758

Read more about the V-Bag on: http://www.v-bag.dk

Prices depend on how many orders we get, but I have been promised at least 10% discount for at least 10 units.

Just to make things clear - I am not affiliated with V-Bag and I do not benefit from this in any way - except I'll be able to (hopefully) take advantage of this group-buy myself. This is an offer specifically for REDUsers.

Please submit the form on this page to show your interest:

You are NOT committing to buy at this point!

After the weekend I will call the V-bag guys and get a firm discount from them based on the amount of interest.

Interesting

There's already at least 10 interested buyers so keep 'em coming, guys. The more - the merrier.

This would solve alot of hassle I had in the past with various mounting... Looks awesome! Of course Im in for a group buy!

Alright - here's the deal.

There's been quite a lot of interest in this group buy. There's a total of 17 people (including myself) interested to buy a total of 27 items. I've talked to the guys at V-bag and they're able to give 15% discount to everyone opting into the group-buy. Obviously - there's more to save if people from major cities are able to share the shipping fee, but I'm not exactly sure how you would arrange that. Maybe I could e-mail everyone and ask them to opt in and help connect people.

Everyone who have submitted the form above will also receive an e-mail with further instructions.

Another thing worth noting is that V-Bags are currently on back-order for another 6-7 weeks.

Talked to the V-Bag guys today. The group-buy is going to be extended for about another week. I'll let you know when it ends, but so far only a couple of people have actually taken advantage of the offer and gone ahead and ordered. Anyone who wants to get in on the first shipment they get in about 5-6 weeks should get their order in now.

I'm very interested, but I definitely don't want to order until the darn things are in stock. I've been down that road before and don't want to do it again.

Thanks.

Stephen

I´ll second that, but I´m definitely "IN" if they are in stock.
I will write them a mail these days.
Thank you again for your effort Tony.

Im waiting for some cash to fullfill my commitment Tony! I forgot to thank you very much for making this group buy work! So thank you :)

As Fredrik said - these things are not products in development. They're out there performing great things every day, but the two guys that started V-Bag are regular camera geeks like the rest of us and they can't afford to have hundreds of V-Bags on the shelves. They produce them in batches to suit the demand.

That being said - I completely understand those of you that want to wait for them to be in stock - just know that it might take longer than 6 weeks before that happens. Those that order now will be the first to get theirs and if there are any left then they will get them by order date and availability.

I will ask them to tell me when they're in stock and then I'll post here - or maybe they will post themselves.

On a side note - I'm going to meet up with one of the V-Bag guys this Monday to talk about getting a loaner to do a short video for you guys. More about that later :-)

Guys - Thomas from V-Bag just came over and dropped off a couple of loaner units (a medium and small). I'll snap a few shots of them tomorrow and put together a quick demo video of the product for you (there's also quite a few videos and pictures over at their site: http://v-bag.dk).

A quick presentation of the V-Bag just for you guys: http://vimeo.com/12344155

Also - what I forgot to mention is how great the small V-Bag is for DSLRs. It could use a bit more filling for that purpose, but overall great performance. Remember there are quite a few photos and videos here too: http://gallery.mac.com/vbagcompany
