Excuse me if this has been covered before.
Generally, photographic type SD memory cards are cheaper and more readily available than the CF types used by the RED.
I was wondering if RAW footage captured on a CF card was transferred directly onto a slower SD card, would RedCine still be able to work with the files?
I was thinking of a scenario where I could use someone else's camera and CF cards for the shooting, and then get the owner to transfer the footage onto my own 16G SD cards, and take them home for editing on my own PC.
In theory, the speed performance of the SD cards should not be an issue, because RedCine doesn't work in real time.
Would this work?
