White image on pause in FCP

Hey all!

We have been experiencing a weird issue with the latest FCS3 (and all current updates). When using proxies in FCP timeline, they are visible in the preview window, but once inserted into the timeline all we see is a white image. The moment You hit play all looks good, but the moment You pause the playback the white image returns...

Also dragging clips from Clipfinder to FCP stopped working with error of "unrecognized file"...

Anyone has heard about this?

It's not the Alpha right? Make sure the canvas is set to RGB

Try trashing your fcp preference/cache files and plist file.
User/library/preferences/
If that doesn't work, create a new admin user to see if the problem persists in that user.

Nothing to do with Alpha. In fact we have just confirmed this to be happening on any kind of media - so this has clearly nothing to do with RED/R3D. Thanks anyway, it is most likely a corrupted FCP installation...
