I would speculate that the ASIC processing developed for ProRes has been designed for the FF input for the 'next Bigger sensor'.
As this is computationally 'less heavy' -> I would expect that it will be able to process FF at a higher rate that the Existing Dragon Wavelet compressing algorithm in R3D.
Hardware downsampling from 6k (or 8k) to 4k (just like Arri .. but the other direction ;-) is also not computationally expensive.
If the 1TB card are Raided doubling write speed ... It wouldn't surprise me if from this moment forward ... the max FF ProRes 4K Weapon framerate limitation moves to write speed (or RAM Buffered write speed).
