I hate cleaning lenses. Always seems risky. So unless I'm seeing a visible effect on the image, I simply use a blower to clear away loose particles and will usually only clean with fluid if I see a smudge from fingerprint. I haven't had great luck with Kimwipes but other might have had success with them and they are popular. I find microfiber cloths can collect particles if not stored properly and washed often. Might not be everyone's cup of tea. My only advice is clean only when needed, remove loose particles with blower first, be careful of compressed air, and whatever you use for cleaning make sure it is made for lens cleaning, absolutely no abrasives allowed. And practice. Like I said, I hate it, and still kind of suck at it after all these years, at least compared to the uber ACs and lens techs.
