If we get a Scarlet now, how much will it cost to upgrade to the Epic in the future? Thanks!

I think he might be confusing the upgrade with the Dragon program... There has been no information released about the program, other then the Dragon upgrade will cost more for Scarlet owners then Epic owners to take part in. Like stated above no program to go from Scarlet to Epic was ever described by Red, so I assume you must be meaning Dragon instead? Epic and Scarlet are similar other then Epic has more frame rate options, Dragon is the next sensor coming out, but no in depth tech specs are available at this time

39,000 that's how much. You build your Scarlet-X package to your liking, then you buy only the EPIC-M Brain for 39,000. Does not include mount. Everything works with everything, just switch out the brains and your good.

In which case you will have both a Scarlet and an Epic, and enough accessories to use one at a time. Not a bad thing, per se, but just want to be clear on how this works. A better way to put it: you would Buy the Epid brain, and you wouldn't be Upgrading anything.

Separate from that, all we know about the Dragon sensor upgrade so far is that it will cost more to upgrade a Scarlet than to upgrade an Epic. No word on whether or not that means that both an Epic and Scarlet will perform the same way at that point. No real word on what the performance will be at all. Either way, that's a minimum 9 months off. Bare minimum. And that is being super super optimistic on my part. I wouldn't count that chicken until we get more info on what that egg looks like.

I don't think we will know until we start seeing footage from the Dragon Sensor. Like they did with the MX upgrade. The more time we give them to figure it out the better were gonna get the end project.
