In the process of conforming from 720p QT to half-hi Red proxies. I used clipfinder, probably not pertinent, to create the new re-conformed XMLs.

Old sequences where 720P ProRes, new sequence is 1920x1080 uncompressed QT. I'm delivering 1920x1080 uncompressed Color projects to Colorist. Please, PLEASE, ignore the unorthodox workflow.

I have 2 clips, so far, that didn't conform. In an earlier reel, I just manually did it figuring, probably was a database error somewhere. These last two clips have been different though.

In FCP I right click to get the "reconnect media" dialoge. When I select my half-high proxie, the "connect" radio button is grayed out. Leaving me solely the choice of "cancel."

OK f-it, I try the other proxies going down in resolution, same story. Up to the top, I try the Full Proxy. Great, it works. I make those shots 50%, So they'll fit the 1920x1080 timeline. I continue working my way through the timeline checking stuff. I come to another instance of the same shot and prepare to re-do my work-around. No-Soap, its a green window. Both uses of the Full clip are green windows now.

Obviously corrupt proxies. I put proxies and rsx file in a folder, and I re-make the proxies. It's the same story, I cannot point to the reduced resolution proxies.

It's a limited amount of clips, and I can export directly from Redalert. But I find it's bad Ju-ju to ignore smoke. Since I've begun writing this novela, the green screen has gone away, and the full proxies work. Maybe I'm just working too long.

OK green screen figured out, it doesn't like the DV quicktime, I'm using to check the conform. But why can't I link to the other proxies?
