Transcoding RED footage, relinking to R3D's FCPX

I'd like to transcode RED footage, edit in FCP7, bring edit into FCPX (7 to X), and from there reconnect to the RED originals.

Can this be done? Maybe through Resolve, then back to FCP X?

Why not just edit directly within FCPX? FCPX also creates proxies insanely fast, and all you have to do to switch from proxy to raw is click one setting and it instantly changes. Gonna save you a lot of time and headache
