First of all, I'd like to apologize..I'm a novice. All aspects of cinematography have been my dream since I was very little and just recently I decided to really make an effort to understand the details and not just the concepts.

Anyway, one of my greatest struggles has been understanding the hardware used for timecode. I know that some sort of generator needs to be connected to the camera(s) and audio equipment in order to maintain synchronization of audio and video in post-production. The questions that I have are:

-What are some specific timecode generators used?
-What are some audio interfaces that support the use of timecode?
-How is timecode accessed during post-production?

Ultimately I'd like to use two cameras and an audio interface and have them all synchronized with timecode. Any information you guys can give me about how it all works would be very appreciated. Again, be kind..I'm learning. :)
