Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Just looks like a hard light outside a window with a lace or sheer curtain on it, split open, creating the pattern. Of course one could also create that with some flags and by hanging the curtains on a rod just off camera between the light and the actor. The sharper the light source, and the closer the pattern-making object is to the actor, the crisper the shadow patterns on the actor. Night interior like that, I might start with a 2K or 1K fresnel, with the fresnel lens removed, outside the window, backed several feet away.
mr mullen thank you for the quick reply. if you watch that shot again you will see that the patterns are moving throughout the shot .i wonder how that motion was created. Again thanks for the reply.
