This one came out of a desperate Situation on Set and magically
stayed as a permanent Solution:

1. Buy a Small HD VF4 (149 Buckz)
http://store.smallhd.com/Store/DP4-Monitor-Accessories/VF4-View-Finder

2. Buy a Elastic Band - (The same that usually holds your Shorts in Place ;-) Lenght: 60 cm / 23.6 in (2 Buckz)

3. remove the metal bolt that connects the VF4-Hood with the VF4-Frame.

4. Tie the Ends of the Elastic Band together with a simple knot.

5. Wrap the Elastic Band around the VF4-Hood as Shown in the Picture

6. Mount the VF4-Hood on the LCD as shown in the Pictures.
(Per Coincidence the VF4 fits perfectly on the LCD and "snaps" in at the
bottom rim of the LCD inner Frame. So there's no wiggling)

Easy. Removable. Reliable. Lightweight. Tool-Less operation.
Tested it. Loved it. Use it ever since ;-)

Does this work same as other offerings?

I got so used to the LCD and dont think I can ever use a BOMB.

that is pretty slick. just ordered my Epic, and the accessories show up today, I am gonna have to try that with my dp4.

Honestly I think a few minutes on a mill you could cut slots into the top left and right, and bottom left and right, and make it look a bit more professional. But that's IF you even cared. Either way, very ingenious.

well this is not really an commercial "offering" its just a desperate workaround:
Bag with akkus was stolen on set and left my DP4 without Power, so my AC ripped
the VF4 off the Monitor. 5 Minutes and some magic SwissArmyKnife-Moves later
she returned with this idea.

Just to get this clear: The VF4 is originally made for the SmallHD DP4
not for the RED LCD ... but sometimes in Live things just fit
perfectly ♥
