this has been annoying me for while.
I edit in CS5 and output via hdmi to a Panasonic BT LH1760E using it's DVI-D in. I've found the BT LH1760E to be a lot darker then the average TV or computer screen. I have played around with the brightness and backlight with colour bars sent to the monitor but i still struggle to get enough brightness. is this a DVI-D issue? i'm hesitant to play with the setting at this is a very expensive monitor and i feel i should be able to trust it at it's default settings?
I matched my computer screen to the BT LH1760E so when i'm editing im not seeing two different pictures but when i take the footage to other screens the gamma is quite a ways off. Any ideas? Or how have you set up your output monitor so it reflects the average user experience?
