Hi all,
I just wanted to thank everyone from the list who came up to our suites at the Renaissance to take a look at SCRATCH and SCRATCH-CINE.
The response we got from the dozens of camera owners who came to our suites to see SCRATCH-CINE was a tremendous validation. Pretty much every one of them was really excited by what they saw. High-resolution realtime output with color correction and conform to any tape format from NTSC to HDCAM-SR has been a hole in the RED workflow, which is now filled.
Quite a few camera owners on this forum signed on the dotted line and will be receiving their SCRATCH-CINE / RedBOXX bundles sometime in the next week.
And a huge thanks (obviously) to RED. We were able to show SCRATCH-CINE and SCRATCH in the RED booth as part of a complete workflow. When Michael from Plaster City or Kevin from RED showed the Final Cut workflow followed by me or Tony C. (from ASSIMILATE) showing SCRATCH... you could see the complete pipeline. From camera to editorial to color grading to finishing. It was pretty cool.
Sorry I couldn't stay longer at the Reduser party. Ted and I had another speaking engagement that we couldn't miss. But it was nice to put so many faces to names at the party and at the show. : )
