Looks like great fun. Do you know when footage from your shoot will be available online? Can't wait to see it...

Sorry but what is this? No explanation, no word on what this video was shot on or what we are supposed to look at?

I am getting a bit annoyed by all this non-information here. This is Scarlet's world premiere? Two guys playing with a helicopter and no footage to show?

is this OFFICIAL premiere of SCARLET?

If it was "OFFICIAL" I think it would be in Recon.

Who cares what the BTS (Behind The Scenes) video was shot on. I'm getting really annoyed at people's attitudes here these days. No one owes you anything.

Its a video showcasing the cameras in functional real-world environment (incase there where any doubters)as part of an expedition taken upon by KETCH ROSSi & Joseph Hutson to show people from around the States - Epic-M . Scarlet factored into that somewhere .
so I guess in that case it is a premiere of sorts .People lucky enough to have obliged took the opportunity to see Epic first hand .Obviously a fantastic precursor to potential investment in this system

Very Cool Guys. Thanks for posting and it was great meeting both of you earlier this week! Have fun out there!

It was an absolute pleasant surprise to get news of Scarlet coming to us in San Francisco while on our Epic American Tour.

I can't ECO in off Joseph's words in THANK YOU Nathan for his hospitality and setting us up with an Helicopter,
as well as RED and the boys for this incredible opportunity to add to an already incredible adventure that has been our Epic American Tour
with EPIC M8, for which I also again send Love to by good friend Steve Gibby, for allowing us to take our Baby across the US.

SCARLET is no doubt in a world of its own, I did felt a bit of guilt when reporting to Jarred that I like it way more then I had anticipated, and felt
almost sorry for our EPIC M8 that I left it in the hands of Nathan for most of that Day, since I couldn't let go of the SCARLET while on flight, so beautifully designed,
so ergonomically perfect, the menus so similar to the ones I had already become accustom to with EPIC M8 yet so many little Surprise, an incredibly and cleverly
well design ONE RING control for the lens, for the ZOOOM< IRIS, and FOCUS sets this baby completely and outerly apart form the rest of the cameras available today,
can't wait for SCARLET to become part of our family of cameras for KETCH ROSSi STUDiOS, were all of our Film and Photography Students will have such of privilege to work with it.

As always I can't forget to thanks Joseph Hutson for his fantastic work in filming the BTS videos and editing, but happy for him that at last He too had a chance
to be part of a larger picture by Shooting the Scarlet with me and Nathan.

I dont see you making an effort...
Christian,
i am not sure what your comment means. My comment is quite clear and accurate. What do you consider to be an effort? Just in case,I am happy to go out and shoot my next project with Scarlet, and since you seem to be wearing a yellow jacket as a mod and I can see below your name that you are "Frontline Infantry" I guess you can set that up right? Just let me know when you are ready to ship the camera and I will send you my address then I too can make an effort.

The scarlet looks good but i agree, this video really looks like an inner circle private joke... You're all handsome guys, but we actually see more of your faces and the bridge through the Sony camera eye than the red cam themselves... And the slow motion effect combined with ghost imaging is awful... Not the best way to dress up the first Scarlet appearance.

Any comments about the presence of an image stabilizer ? The battery life in real-world environment? The use of this one ring during this run and gun sequences ?
And all those small things you can only know when using the camera, we were all dying to know (including you guys before touching this new toy).

Post #15, does give few points of my quick view of the camera, this was not for us to go deep in to the technical aspect of the camera,
if RED is so gracious again to present an other opportunity were we are not so slammed by time and an other million things happening
at the same time, we will be sure to do a detail review opinion of the entirety of SCARLET, this was not it, this was to simply put SCARLET,
a working one, to the real world and see how it did i our hands, 3 people 3 different styles, and done side by side with EPIC M8.

As far as Joseph's work with the BTS and Editing choices, please try and respect his choices, I happen to like them a lot and for this He is with me,
and even so I appreciate every ones opinion, I don't appreciate any one putting down is hard work, for which HE IS VOLUNTEERING his free time, just as I AM!!

I'll say it again... No one owes you anything.

Ketch and Joseph do not have to make these BTS videos. You have no right to criticize how they do things. As for Scarlet specs, RED will release them when they are ready to. We are all eager to know what they are.

If revealing scarlets final specs is on hold until release, it's easy to say it clearly.
btw, if someone do something and expose it public, he got to accept both wooows and waarrrf... This is showing-off the BTS, when there is no way to see the actual scenes...

If the scarlet videos can't be shown for the moment, then the BTS are useless (why ? Because i'd really like to compare the shaking hands of operators as seen in the BTS and the final result, for instance).
