  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I'm in the same boat ... I saw the birth of RED and wished I had the knowledge and cash. Then I saw the MX sensor upgrade and the 'low-light' Leonardo shot! The epic and scarlet were announced and I thought ... better not covet! I've been patient, but now I'm finally on the Scarlet list ... waiting. I can be patient for a while longer knowing that both the company and its founders are pretty darn honest (admits mistakes!), innovative, and generous (no $3000+ firmware updates!).

I know exactly what you're feeling, Lee! I was stoked to put a deposite down at the beginning of this month. It's such a good feeling locking the camera in at the lower cost. And knowing that you've got an amazing piece of gear on it's way is a really nice feeling.

Use the time between now and when it arrives reading as much as you can about workflow, how the sensor works, and everything else on these forums. I could write a book with what I've learned in the last 3 months.
