Hi all,
Just thought to share this and celebrating the durability of the DSMC1 Scarlet-X Dragon ... still going strong.

Some asked how long these machines can go for. So here is some proof that they can endure.

11753.9 Hours on the clock and counting.

I dare say that any Red camera, except for the Red One and the Scarlet X, has a very long life ahead of it. Given the choice between the 2.8K Alexa and the Epic, given modern requirements, I think the Epic might be the better camera at least 50% of the time.

The RED One and Scarlet MX will last for sure as long as the media does and the same goes for DSMC1 and now DSCM2 but whether they will meet the demanding standards of certain areas of the industry, that's up to what happens after 8K becomes the new standard, we're probably going to get a lot of 8K updates at NAB since the $5,000 and under side of things is populated with 8K options as it is.

If that means we can buy Epics for $2K or even $1K, I'm all for it.
