If this information exists anywhere pls post a link and sorry for the redundancy.

I need to know how loud the fan noise is on the Scarlet W as I will be using it for a lot of live music recording, and any noise at all could be a problem. I imagine it depends at lot on how hard I'm pushing the camera, but say 24p at 4K, 7:1 ballpark.

Anyone had any issues or any feedback they can give? Thanks!

Different versions of firmware have produced different results for me. If you are trying to record the full RT60 tail of a room, you'll hear the fan noise. If you have the camera reasonably far from the mics, you'll find DSMC2 much quieter than original DSMC or BMCC. We have rolling gobos in our studio, and it's handy to have a baffle that acoustically blocks the camera from the closest mic without blocking either the light path to the camera nor the acoustic path to the microphone.

Probably has a lot to do with what the sensor temp is set for compared to the usage and conditions. What is everyone's sensor temp set for? I noticed mine is 35, which seems low to me, but I don't know. I've seen others post 38, 39, but I'm wondering if there's a sweet spot for the Scarlet-W/DSMC2 cams.

They're virtually silent for the first 30+mins or so but the fans do indeed kick in after it begins heating up beyond target temps. Both our Scarlet-W and Raven are set to a temp of 38 adaptive and both get louder after about 30+ mins shooting in 75 degree room. Firmware does change this though.
