First of All I would like to thank all those folks who have shared their ideas about how to rig out their Scarlet. ( Espically Phil Holland)
It has made my efforts much easier and productive. My rig is set for documentry use as I can switch between Tripod and Handheld in seconds. Here is a list of my components: The baseplate is a Zacauto C-300 with 16" rails on the bottom and their rod riser for my Shoot 35 follow focus. (I would highly recommend this unit it is smooth and all metal gears). Foe the battery I mounted a RED Battery belt clip on a Zacuto Zwiss plate. (this gives me an option If I want to go small or use a stabilizer) I have a couple GlobalMedia Pro 160 wh V-mounts. You may also note the Shoulder pad for handheld work from Zacuto. The hand grips are from Shoot 35. The top handle is from Wooden Camera as are the sound accessories, easy stick hot shoe and and A-box. The touch screen is held with 5" Red arm. I have a left tactical adapter on the camera, but I don't know how I will use it. Orginally, I was gouing to mount the Touch screen, but in the hand held position the screen was to close for my eyes to focus. I used a KoolLCD 15mm- 1/4" bolt adapter that allows me to put the touch screen near the front of the camera.
I do have a question though, I have two mikes , one on the camera and a wireless unit. In the settings menu I can not have different levels for mike inputs 1 & 2. Until PRO I/O module comes out. What can a guy do? This is hokie!!
Sincerely, Jim Batzer
