Do you find more noise in your footage going directly to using DaVinci Resolve versus creating files via RedCine-X for color grading?

The quality should be the same. Did you check Resolve's debayer settings? I think it defaults to half-good, which appears to have sharper noise than half-premium or full.

Half-bayer

Half-bayer

I'll check that tonight. Is half-debayer set right out of the box?

I color graded my last short in Adobe SpeedGrade via EDL and R3D's. I swear my footage came out cleaner than I've ever seen it. I don't have any tests to prove that the images are cleaner. Just how I felt after I rendered it.
