Tested out 4k WS and 3k WS finally on my Scarlet. Shot for a couple hours at the beach. Video looked great on my computer super sharp and pretty then Vimeo turned it to a pile of crap but it is what it is. I spent hours obsessing about it.

Lens used- Canon 500mm 5.6L IS

Loved it. I actually thought some of your cutaways were awesome (beach, girl, etc)...and was hungry for more...added a lot to the edit.

Great job!

Nice! I like it! And I love the jump cuts! :) Thanks for posting, Patrick!

Would you share a R3D trim or snap so that we can see the full glory? :)

Ya just seems that the Frame Rates on Epic vs Scarlet Dragon are too much to pass up on and the idea of upgrading to Epic Dragon one day.

Also impressed at how you could keep things in focus ... 500mm, even stoped down, has a paper-thin DoF. Very IMPRESSIVE all round ! Super-fast shutter speed & maybe some Twixtor ?

Thanks for sharing !

Nice operating on these shots, Patrick. Super smooth pans to follow the action. (What head/legs setup are you rocking with that 500mm?)

Great edit, too. Really dig how you made the shots feel dynamic, even though you really only used the pan axis.
