So I purchased, the Samyang 85mm cine from distributor in Poland/Europe and I got a lens which has deformed IRIS opening from above T5.6 all the way up to T22.
I requested a new lens, but distributor claims all 85mm cine lenses have a deformed IRIS.

Anyone having Rokinon/Samyang 85mm Cine lens - can you check your IRIS openings at T22 and check if you see a regular octagram or a deformed shape like in my pictures?

Thanks!

Mine distorts a little starting between 11 and 16. The pictures are taken from 8 and 22.

Here's mine with views from 11, 16, and 22. I'm seeing it in the last two, but it's not as off-set as yours. Still a bit symetrical.

I'm noticing mine start @ f8, looks very similar to Anthony Berenato Jr's.

Good thing our students are obsessed with shooting wide open. :p
