Hi !
It would be interesting from you all how you deal with the metadata in post, specially for CC.
As I saw now for over two years, there are a lot of people in the post world who are dealing only with the camera metadata or they dont touch in grading the possibility to start with the RED metadata to bring up the best startingpoint for each shot. Only switching the output LUT from redgamma to pdlog685 for example and then they start grading...
As I do onelight on set with proper monitoring, we could built a good base for grading... if there would be a simple app which could for example change every metadata individual for a complete conform... for example I want to change in all RMD files of my conform the color space or OutputLUT or ISO or what ever, the app could load like clipfinder the list of all R3D files... then I choose for example REDlogFilm and apply to all... and all the RMD files would be then on choosen LUT... or I want to reset only the curve on all shots but want to keep all of the rest... or I want to backup my RMD files first...
R3DManager can now sync RMD files thats a great new feature....
hope you understand what I mean....
What do you think? Would a RMD Manager make sense for the postworld?
thx
