REDCINE X Alpha
I just took my First Alpha Flight with REDCine X
even though its in its Alpha phase I felt it would be a good time to reach out to whos ever making this.

I understand its in Alpha so im not interested in sharing any of the problems im experiencing.
Im gonna focus on what is promising for the future.

To the creators Guys this things RAD.
Ive used it in a few set ups now more as a reference and a way to show what we are working with. Not as a transcoding solution yet.

Im Enjoying the movable modules / windows for lack of a better term.
Love that I can use DUAL SCREEN 1 preview and 1 everything else the DP loved that feature also. {Thats Bigtime for me in my everyday usage my preview is a 30inch cinema display on set everywhere i go}

The fact that it finds the R3Ds is like a new world and scared me at first.
The Browse window is far more friendly.
The preview windows next to it are great.
The BINS 1,2 and 3 thats very useful.

Curve bin is very cool love the P1 - P7 im going to assume that's a preset 1-7
but is it too much to ask for to add 2 more curve points? At my discretion?
Color fine
Image fine
White balance love that capability very handy.
The sliders are so responsive i just cant get over how cool that is.

But Histogram, argh Id love to be able to control its length to make it bigger.

And can we please
PLEASE PLEASE get wave form & vector scopes?
PLEASE
That would be such a big thing for us on set.

And Audio playback.

edit. feature request of course
RAW and Current grade screens side by side so I can show the DP and Director what we shot and what the final is.
That builds such confidence on set and with the people in-charge that it makes me look like im doing more of a job than just copying files and setting a look.

REDCINE X is CRAZY bad ass.

Looks like a great tool REDcine X. I've used REDcine and what it lacks isn't in power, it lacks a friendly user interface, something a bit more intuitive. Windows you can move/customize, it's own viewer for a separate screen, and scopes, scopes, scopes, sounds like and an extremely powerful first pass application, as least.

Is there an estimated release on the alpha? It's been quite some time since this thread was created.

no luck

Alpha was already released. Search for Jannard's post on "Redcine-x time"...

Julio,

Do you have a link to the download? From what I read it hasn't been released yet.

BigLu, where'd you get the application? Am I missing something?
