Redcine doesn't fully open. Windows AMD Quad Phenom Machine.

When I open Redcine, it shows the tab at the bottom in the start bar but nothing actually shows up. It doesn't actually load the start up screen or the program itself. I also can't right click the tab and choose "close" or any options, I have to do ctrl alt delete in order to close it off.

The machine is an AMD 9850 Quad Core Phenom and windows XP. Graphics card is 8800GT Nvidia.

I tried restarting Direct Draw and Direct 3d and Redcine still doesn't start up.

Try restarting your comp, if that doesn't work, reinstall redcine. What version of redcine are you on?

I tried the latest version and it didn't work. Downloaded straight from the support page. I've restarted a few times and no go. Still just leaves the tab in the bottom but never actually opens the app.

Jim had told me that even though he uses a MAC Pro the RED will only be compatable with Intel processors. So anybody who does RED editing can you use the AMD Procesors? Looks like some have tried.
I am getting a new computer but can't afford a MAC PRO. Looking at an HP. So should I choose the Intel Core 2 Quad over the AMD Phenom x 4 Quad core processor?

Well he actually just said that the RED works with Intel but I didn'tr ask him about the AMD options.
