These are great. I wonder how in depth the videos will end up going? I know I'd pay for a set of videos that were very comprehensive and allowed me to pull the most I could out of my RED and know every aspect of the camera.

So could someone please explain how that REC2020 HDR works? It does HDR by using the same frame by changing the metadata and combining? I believe it has nothing to do with HDRx right? If I open some R3D on Red Cine X (I have no camera) there is 2020 on gamma space selection but no HDR so what is the workflow to replicate that in post automatically?

These are Terrific.

A real help to people trying to get their heads around the RED terminology - and get bolster the requisite knowledge required in the eco system.

+) I suspect that the majority of people would rather see a separate Red Tech video on each individual on camera menu within the RED eco system - how it used etc, what to expect, common issues, solutions ... more than reading their way cover to cover the owner manual.

It would probably take more effort on Red part, but a comprehensive selection of videos would definitely increase the populations incremental digestion & mastering of the RED interface.

Ditch the music loop. These are not commercials, they are instructional clips. Aside from being monotonous, the selected music distracts the viewer from the information in the presenter's presentation.
