Hi, everybody, we're working on a new workstation fully decked out with an AMD 64-core CPU, 256gb of RAM, Quadro RTX 8000 48gb, and our same ARECA 1680 RAID setup from our previous workstation. We needed to upgrade for VFX purposes since we're rendering 4K and even 8K for certain things to fit into our RED One MX filmed feature. I was just testing and while our RAID is working well, we still can't get full resolution playback or even 1/2. Is there an optimization problem here? I tried OpenCL and CUDA but it's the same. Is there anything I should try to make this work or is it still just a pain to play back full resolution 4K RED footage? This system should be blowing the old dual 6-core Xeon workstation out of the water but for RED Player at least, we're just not seeing it.

Hey, I don't know what happened but a quick restart seems to have cleared up the performance problems! Realtime playback at full resolution is awesome! Moderators can delete this thread if necessary!
