  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

He will sell you trash if you're not careful. I was one of the unlucky ones and wound up with a fungus cooke 20-100 lens from this guy that was disgusting and beyond repair. The fungus has since grown back since the repair by Bernie at Super 16 (which Kirk was supposed to pay for). I trusted him too because he was a "name in the business" with a good "track record". BS - this guy is a piece of work and real great to work with if you want high blood pressure and to be stuck with a hefty service bill ,and be belittled and cursed at along the way. By far the most unprofessional "filmmaker/ seller" I have EVER dealt with in my entire life.

Don't' say you haven't been warned folks.

IF you avoid my advice, please REQUIRE that the camera and all the delicate electronic items be review by RED first before sore ding a dime. And if something needs to be fixed and serviced by RED first, you let him pay the bill first then buy once RED signs off on the condition.

Believe me, the lens I originally purchased was claimed to have been "serviced" and "top condition" too before I purchased it. Yet some how the amazon jungle grew in it during shipping to me or something...lol Anyways, I'd hate myself for not trying to save one of my beloved Reduser good guys out there from being screwed over

I recently purchased another Cooke lens from a great Reduser with a great track record. Sure I paid good money for it, but at least my lens is great and the guy I worked with was a sweet soul.

KARMA is a bitch - so I know the universe will work it all out for Mr. Fraser

HaHaa, funny! The cockroach or aka "The Whining Pig" has returned. I thought I've put you in your place too, guess not. Adam, we don't believe you, you'll need more then just you to say I'm a bad guy. Ask the other buyers, no complaints. I understand you can't satisfy everyone's needs, and I hate to say it, but you're the epitome of a guy shopping for a NEW CAR in a USED LOT. The worst person to sell anything to. HaHaa.

kirk_fraser, your boisterous attitude, slinging insults and jabs, is utter arrogance. If it wasn't for the rock bottom prices you're offering, I'm sure buyers would think twice before engaging in any business activity with you - they still should after your repeated display of character.

This is a poor reflection of these forums, and in form as a seller.

Questionable attitudes for sure... I don't think Humberto meant anything by his comments. It always makes sense to verify everything through RED, no matter who is involved in the deal and RED should be brought in for ownership transfer anyway. Simple stuff.

As for Adam's complaint and reference to the other thread. I don't even want to go there. That's just messed up on both sides, IMO.

Anyway, let's try to play nice and show a little more professionalism and common courtesy. Or at least we can pretend that's what we want to do.
 
I fear this makes me into some sort of scavenging opportunist --- but --- if you are discarding your fungussed Cooke lens, I would be happy to be waiting for it to drop into the bin and pay the freight to Australia even. Fungussed lenses have become a bit of a hobby, thus far, two Cooke Panchro 2's an old Cine Xenon and an old Angenieux 25-250, so the kit is building, albeit slowly.

If classy people like you are getting away with ignorant crap you are spewing in these threads and the shady selling tactics you are using to lure people to sell off your old abused equipment with ZERO TRACK RECORD on Reduser... Well then good riddance. Stay classy Kirk Fraser.

What the heck is going on here??? I dunno what to even say about this thread! I say buyer beware, do your homework, and pay securely.

I don't understand all the hatred. Why would anyone not check the serial number on a used camera?

I wholeheartedly agree that this post should be locked, but kept alive so no one else gets scammed by him. He has been banned for a reason. This guy acts like a wannabe thug and thinks he owns the film industry. Believe me when I say this was a bad transaction ready to happen for some poor soul. Nothing to see here anymore folks.

Please let me express the importance of taking the time to purchase your red safely, PLEASE save yourself the heartache of a burned sensor or stolen camera and do the transfer of ownership with RED. I fell victim to a 'too good to be true' scenario and payed the price. $5k for that package is charity, if it's legit, dang. Seeing a body go for 5k is hard enough, but a whole package.... [sheds a tear]
