Red does not want new customers who refuse to be extorted

[scott devitte]

I have been lurking on this board for months as I wanted to build a rig around the Dragon. It is impossible to do. I simply won't pay the extortion to get the carbon dragon. I bought the Canon C500 and CN E primes and 30-105 zoom on the recent sale. I have been using it for a few weeks while still hoping for a Dragon. I am giving up. The C500 with the Odyssey 7q is a fabulous rig. Red you lost me.

Good riddance, you're not the first and only one with demands.

Sorry for your disappointment. Luckily you weren't waiting for a new set of the best Leicas. I understand there are years of wait for those. But good things are worth waiting for, and someday the Dragon X will be available. Don't burn any bridges and eventually you can own one too.

"I waited . . . "

There's actually at least 2 sets of Leica Lux-C's on the market currently. Not sure what the issue is with those but seems like some buyers on the initial list are bailing out. $225K seems a bit much for lenses that don't cover 6K . . .

WHOA! Won't cover 6k? Guess they didn't read the papers when Dragon 6k was announced. '-)
